Sunday October 23 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time another Special interest Grop in ISIPT was held over zoom. This time the SIG had focus on IPT for PTSD. Twelve participants from USA, Canada, UK, Israel, Germany and Sweden met and probed different purposes of the SIG.
The SIG aims to present and discuss differens cases, share and discuss research result, learn from each other. This is a start of something new that hopefully will offer traumatized patients all over the world a broader treatment option – and – to inspire IPT-therapists to find a way to work here and now with PTSD-patients, – helping them to identify emotional/relational needs and facilitate an adaptive way to communicate and problem solve in current relationships, despite having PTSD.
The SIG-group will meet every six week (ish) and will gradualy take form 🙂
